Recorder Festival
Ensemble Caprice
McGill University

Dear friends of the recorder,

The upcoming recorder festival in Montréal, Canada, which will be held from
September 18 to the 21st 2003, will be a very special event. It will take place at the Faculty of Music, McGill University (555 Sherbrooke Street West).

Jointly organized by Ensemble Caprice and McGill University, concerts, conferences, workshops and master classes will bring professional as well as amateur players together. Until August 1st you can benefit from a 10$ CAN reduction on the subscription fee. Instead of $120 Can ($90 US) you only pay $110 Can ($85 US) for a whole weekend of recorder music of the highest level.

Three main concerts feature Marion Verbruggen in a solo programme, the Ensemble Caprice (Matthias Maute) with recorder and vocal works by Telemann as well as the Montreal recorder consort, Buxus playing Renaissance and contemporary music for four to six players.

It will be an unforgettable weekend where the recorder will occupy the best seat in the house, a place it rightly deserves.
