Die Kantaten J. Th. Roemhildts DeutschlandWebsite Johann Theodor Roemhildt (1684-1756), geboren in Salzungen bei Eisenach, war ab 1731 in Merseburg als Domorganist und Domkapellmeister tätig. Die regionale und zeitliche Nähe zu Johann Sebastian Bach (geb. 1685 in Eisenach, gest. 1750 in Leipzig) findet eine Entsprechung im Schaffen der beiden Musiker: Auch von Roemhildt sind etwa 200 Kirchenkantaten überliefert - teilweise unter seinem Anagramm "Mi(e)lorth", das dieser Seite ihren Namen gegeben hat. |
